Day one: Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Ananuri-Khazbegi-Juta
In the Morning we will depart from Tbilisi to ancient capital of Georgia, Mtskheta. City tour includes all of old Mtskheta (Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Monastery of Jvari, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites.). Afterwards, we will pay a visit to Ananuri, where two fortified churches are situated on the Jinvali water reservoir. As we follow the Georgian military highway till Kazbegi, we will have the chance to enjoy spectacular views of the Great Caucasus Mountains. Once we reach Kazbegi, we’ll drive through valleys and woodlands to Gergeti Trinity church (14th century) located at 2170 meters above sea level. Weather permitting we may catch a glimpse of Mountain Peak Kazbegi (5047m) and its shiny glaciers. This route is full of spectacular sights. After seeing Trinity church, we will drive to Juta. Astonishing Juta is one of the highest villages in Europe. Breathtaking mountains are the place where we will encamp and have a Dinner.
Day two: Juta-Abudelauri lakes-Korsha-Tbilisi.
After the breakfast we travel around divine Abudelauri lakes. They are formed out of the glaciers and have different colours: green, white and blue. The lakes are surrounded by the mountains from 3 sides what makes the scene even more beautiful. Before heading to Tbilisi we will stop in a small Khevsurian village, Korsha, to visit Khevsurian Museum and have a lunch.
