Best places for Horse Riding in Georgia are :
Shatili – located in the deep Arghuni gorge at approximate 1 400 meters. The village is actually a unique complex of medieval-to-early modern fortresses and fortified dwellings of stone and mortar, which functioned both,- as a residential area and a fortress, guarding the northeastern outskirts of the country.
Kazbegi – Village in the north of Georgia, popular for the trekking opportunities and horse riding in the visually spectacular surrounding mountains, its views of the mighty mount Kazbegi, and the Holy Trinity Church, outlined against Mount Kazbegi itself.
Tusheti -The place brim with history. It has dramatic setting on Tousheti mountains. Its old village omalo, at the top of the mountain hill, is still redolent of an ancient Georgian dwellings with winding lanes, old balconied houses, leafy trees, handsome churches and countless fortresses, all overlooked by the mighty Kesalo tower.
Svaneti – Beautiful, wild and mysterious, Svaneti is an ancient land locked in the Caucasus. Svaneti’s isolation meant that during the many invasions of Georgia over the centuries, icons and other religious artifacts were brought here for safekeeping and many of them remain in private homes. Svaneti also has a rich church art heritage of its own, and many tiny village churches boast frescoes 1000 years old
